Trees in Autumn

We love the trees in our playground and sometimes even like to give them a hug.
Collecting leaves, twigs, seeds and playing with them is so much fun
. Here is our class poem about the fascinating trees .

There are so many beautiful trees,
The leaves are changing colours,
They are falling down and twirling round and round,

We ride our bike and walk on crunchy leaves,
Step and jump and catch falling leaves,
Nuts and berries are falling from the trees,
Ha..Ha...It is so much fun to jump on pile of crispy leaves and play and roll on golden leaves...

We enjoyed reading the book, "The Magical garden" by Laurence Anholt .This book is about the famous painter Claude Monet, who was very fond of gardening . He painted the pond and trees in his garden as they looked in sunlight at different time of the day.

We made our own paintings of the colourful and fascinating trees as we saw them inspired by Monet's Paintings.

We also decided to make a collage of the pond we saw at the Chateau de Penthes, using bits of blue and green paper and added some lilies and lily pads.

In this collage you can see us standing around the pond.

You are welcome to enjoy our paintings displayed in our class Art Gallery.
