Shush..Shoo. You are about to watch a show about a story that unfolded on a cold and dark night (December 11, 1602) long ago when duke of Savoy attacked Geneva. Luckily this attack was repelled by Mere Royaume who poured boiling soup....FĂȘte de l'Escalade.... is celebrated by breaking a ceremonial chocolate marmite ( cauldron) filled with marzipan vegetables.

We enjoyed the celebration with Ms. Hassina and Ms. Leitner's class in central space.
The eldest and youngest children from three classes broke the marmite...and we all enjoyed the tasty bits of chocolate and sweets.
We had some fun craft activities and coloured the flags of Geneva. .
It was fun to see Ms. Hassina and Ms. Francine all dressed up in funny costumes and present the story of Escalade.
