We visited the bakery at La Praille . We went in the blue school bus with our teachers and friends. The friendly and nice bakers showed us how they made bread. They had big machines to mix measured amount of flour, salt, butter and yeast. When the dough was made it was shaped into tresses and left to rise and refregerated before it went in the oven to be baked.

We were given some dough to play with and shape our own little bread. Some of us tried making tresses like the bakers demonstrated with their deft movements and skills, while others made some snails .It was fun to handle the dough !!
The bakers offered us fresh croissant and some bread , which we enjoyed as a snack.
We brought back the dough in small bags and it was amazing to see it rise and almost burst out of the bag, despite being put in the refrigerator....yeast did the trick!!!
We took the dough home to show to our parents. Most of us baked the bread at home and even brought it back to show to our class. Our thanks to Sophia's Mum for helping us.
