Say Cheese !!!

What all can we make with milk?
We learned a new rhyme...

Moo moo brown cow,
Have you any milk?
Yes sir yes sir,
Three buckets full,
Churn it into butter,
Make it into cheese,
Drink it fresh just as you please.

We had a cheese tasting session in class. We tasted five different kinds of cheese..Goat's cheese, Gruyere, Camabert, Parmesan and Swiss Cheese.

We made our own cheese in class. We squeezed juice of one lemon to half a litre of milk. The milk got lumpy and curdled. Then we strained the mixture through a sieve.

We made our own fresh butter . We poured whole cream in a glass jar. Then we all took turn to churn/ shake the jar. It was fascinating to see the cream solidify and turn into yummy butter!!!!


Next we will make some yogurt in class.
